About Us

Thanks for joining us! We are Beth and Naomi – sisters who have been traveling our entire lives and seeking out delicious food and wine along the way. Born to wineaux parents, we got into wine early on – tasting as many wines as possible, learning through books and courses (and friends!), and visiting wine regions from Napa Valley, California  to Stellenbosch, South Africa.

We grew up in Orlando, but have settled in Denver and Chicago respectively. Recently, we’ve each found ourselves fielding questions like “how do you pick a wine from the store?” and “my new guy/gal is cooking me dinner for the first time – what wine should I bring over?” These questions inspired us and over many a bottle of wine, Witty Pairs started to take shape.

We love a good food and wine pairing, but to be honest we’re not always hungry when it’s time for a glass of vino. Sometimes we’re looking for wine that pairs with the moment. A lush, bright Albariño to enjoy on sunny days by the water. A bold Zinfandel while you’re swiping right on a dating app or seeking a little encouragement to send that flirty text. A perfectly fruit-forward Pinot Noir while reading the day away. 

We’ve been lucky enough to taste some incredible (and luxurious) wines with our parents, but as we pave our own path in the wonderful world of wine, our focus is on the bottles that don’t break our bank. We aim to make wine enjoyable and affordable for our friends and followers in their 20s, 30s, and so on.

Our goal in creating this space is to provide approachable wine education in a non-intimidating manner by pairing wines with activities or occasions most of us encounter.
